The answer is yes, IF the trunk is open! Tonight after work, I picked up our very first (and obviously artificial) Christmas tree. I bought it from a woman who is moving to New Mexico next week. I’m happy to be giving her tree a home and I’m sure she’s happy she doesn’t have to move it cross-country. I didn’t even think about how I was going to get it home after I purchased it until I was out to the car with it. I tried putting down the back seat but it STILL didn’t fit. Thankfully, she had a strap I could use to hold the trunk down. Next, I have to get this thing to Columbus and put it together…

Can a 7 1/2 foot Christmas Tree Fit into a Jetta?

Prayers Needed!
As many of you know, it's been a deadly week in Afghanistan with two helicopter crashes. Unfortunately, our friend Brian's team was involved and two soldiers were killed and two were injured. Please keep the families and the troops in your prayers as they go through this difficult time Here is a story about the crash on MSN (Click Here).

Back in Business
My camera has been repaired and returned by Olympus! Thanks to the warranty, the only part that cost us was the shipping. I would love to attach some new photos but I left the cord in Columbus. Maybe one of these days, I'll add some new photos...

And another one bites the dust....
I mean another race, not ME biting the dust! Sunday morning Danielle, Brittany, Angie and I competed and finished in the 30th Anniversary Nationwide Columbus 1/2 Marathon! It was a brisk 34 degrees when we arrived at the starting line but we were dressed in pants, long sleeves, gloves and hats! Our results are as follows:
Danielle 2 Hours 51 Minutes 57 Seconds
Brittany 2 Hours 8 Minutes 38 Seconds
Sonya 2 Hours 3 Minutes 10 Seconds
Angie 1 hour 52 Minutes 56 Seconds
I'm so proud of everyone for the awesome times and the determination to train and complete the event! I was going for under two hours but I'm happy with my time, it's my best race pace yet (9:25 per mile). When I ran my marathon in 2007 my place was 9:54 per mile so I've improved it a bit. I have a little bit of a cold which slowed me down a bit. We were lucky to have lots of wonderful supporters to cheer us on (Mom, Dad, Ryan, Dad K, Tim, Jordan). Thanks to them as well!
Now, what am I going to do with all of my free time?!?!?!

I WISH I had a camera for this...
It was bound to happen with all of my packing and unpacking as I go between Columbus and NW Ohio...When I got back to my parent's house and was digging through my suitcase to grab my gear for a 10 miler and I pulled out two running shoes, an Asic and a Nike. At least I had a right and a left and was still able to go out for my run. Thankfully Tim hadn't left yet and I was able to get the mates today!
